THE AMERICANS
October called for being the best I could be - early voting, stimulating the economy by buying lots of fall-themed lattes, reading books, actually listening to voicemails before deleting them… But now, November is a time of giving. THANKSgiving. And in the spirit of both civic responsibility and thanks, I will rise to the occasion of giving. Because, to quote our great patriot Reese Witherspoon, "I am an American citizen."
For this Thanksgiving season, Haley Bragg and I have turned our focus from Great Britain to the colonies and we need your help as we narrow the field and name the hottest American.
When we put together the initial list, things got a little…ridiculous (I mean, even more ridiculous than this entire thing). It took not one, but TWO coffee shop powwows* (shoutout to The Well Brentwood!) and quite a bit of conversation and compromise to put together our Big Dance.
To make things orderly, we've set our divisions as Must See TV; Renaissance Men; Superheroes, Swashbuckers, and Supervillains; and Bright Lights, Big Hotties. You can click on the links to see a list of contenders, or there is a view of the bracket at the bottom of this post.

- Round one: today (November 6) through Monday, November 10
- Round two: Monday, November 10 through Wednesday, November 12
- Round three (Sweet Sixteen): Thursday, November 13 - Sunday, November 16
- Round four: Monday, November 17 through Wednesday, November 19
- Round five: Thursday, November 20 through Sunday, November 23
- Championship round: Monday, November 24
