The Only List You Need Before Coming to Nashville
I've emailed this to enough people now that I'll just leave it here for everyone. Yes, I have a list of restaurants by neighborhood; yes, they're linked; this is how I live my life. Disclosure: I haven't eaten at all of these places, but they've all been recommended to me and come up in regular conversation.
Enjoy, and leave recommendations (with links!) in the comments if there's something you'd like to add. (HOWEVER, If you want to recommend anything on Broadway, or tell me any of my choices are actually in SoBro, you can show yourself out.)

*my recommendations if you can’t try them all J ^This looks like just a coffee shop, but it has THE BEST food. Don’t be misguided by the website! ^^Rose Pepper is a rite of passage. People will tell you to go here; that it’s SO NASHVILLE and the best ever. They are wrong. They do have amazing margaritas (house, on the rocks is the only way to get them, FYI) and one good appetizer (queso with chorizo – go with the chorizo, it’s just bland cheese without it), and that’s it. you’re looking for a great margarita, go to Chuy’s and call it a night. To tell you all you need to know about their food, they once charged for a second basket of chips. FOR SHAME. ^^^The Loveless is also a rite of passage. Their food isn’t going to change your life, unless you’re someone that’s never eaten peach jelly on a biscuit before. However, it’s worth going to every now and then (like…once a year. The line is LONG.) for the ambiance. $Take your parents here (they aren’t more expensive than other things, necessarily, but they give off a “Oh, how fun that you get to live here!” vibe).
